Job summary

Achuman Capital is working with a top-tier UK law firm in Belfast to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate for its Data Privacy team. The role covers GDPR advisory, data protection compliance, international transfers, and privacy governance for clients across the UK, Ireland and internationally.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ PQE in data privacy or technology law, a strong academic record, and the ability to work well within a team while handling complex regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise on GDPR compliance and broader data protection matters.

We are working with a top-tier UK law firm based in Belfast for an Associate or Senior Associate to join their Data Privacy team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will join a highly regarded Data Privacy team, advising a diverse client base ranging from global multinationals and major brands to technology companies and high-growth businesses. The team advises clients across the UK, Ireland and internationally on the full spectrum of data protection, privacy, cybersecurity and increasingly AI governance matters.

The role involves advising on GDPR and wider data protection compliance, workplace privacy, international data transfers, data breaches and incident response, and privacy governance programmes. The successful candidate will also advise on the commercial use of data, support M&A transactions on data protection matters, and assist with Freedom of Information requests.
