Senior Privacy Lawyer – Global Tech Company – Belfast (Hybrid – 1 day a week in office)

Are you a privacy solicitor/counsel interested in taking the next step in your career?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced privacy counsel to work with cutting edge, market leading products and advise the business on privacy law, AI regs and cyber regs.

This role would suit an experienced legal counsel with a strong background in data privacy who has an interest in emerging regulations such as AI regs, cyber regs.

The Role:

Working as part of this growing data privacy team you will be responsible for creating a robust compliance framework that will be tailored to products that protect data. Working with the NPI team you will ensure best practice in the NPI lifecycle so they meet regulatory requirements. You will create a culture of compliance with a commercial approach and ongoing education and training across the business.

You will be!

• Qualified Solicitor (UK/EU) with 5 + years PQE – in-house or private practice.
• Previous experience and knowledge of data privacy and data protection law
• Some knowledge of emerging regulations i.e. AI regs and cyber regs would be advantageous
• Previous experience of developing or advising clients on compliance processes and frameworks that meet regulatory requirements
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with senior stakeholders/clients throughout a business
• Commercial approach with strong leadership skills and ability to influence across a business
