Hyndburn Borough Council is looking for a proactive lawyer to join its busy Legal Section, with a focus on contracts, procurement and information law. The successful candidate will provide advice across Council functions and work with officers and councillors to deliver results.

We welcome applications from newly qualified lawyers as training and supervision will be provided, with a view to developing local government experience.

Up to 37 hours a week
£49,817 - £53,051 per annum
Car user allowance: £2,850 per annum

We have a vacancy in our busy, but friendly, Legal Section for a proactive and enthusiastic lawyer to provide advice across a broad range of Council functions, focusing mainly on contracts, procurement and information law.

Previous experience of some of the work areas covered by the post is preferred, but we are open to applications from newly qualified people as training and supervision will be provided. Similarly, Local Government experience is desirable but not essential.
You will be able to manage a varied and busy caseload in a timely manner and good at communicating with officers and councillors alike. You will be a qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive.
