Essex Law School is recruiting a lecturer to join our diverse community of scholars, dedicated to delivering engaging and innovative curriculum in the foundations of legal knowledge and beyond. The appointee will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, provide supervision and feedback, and support experiential learning and administrative duties on campus.

Applicants should hold a doctoral-level research degree or be close to completion, with a law degree at undergraduate/postgraduate

Qualifications

• PhD or near completion in law, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
• Commitment to engaging, innovative curriculum for diverse student body.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching in the compulsory areas of the undergraduate curriculum, foundations of legal knowledge.
• Contribute to teaching in other areas of the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
• Provide supervision, assessment and feedback to learners; supervise student projects.
• Support experiential learning programmes and undertake administrative duties.
