The University of Law is seeking a Barrister or Solicitor with significant advocacy experience to join as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. You must be admitted to practice in England and Wales and bring real-world experience to the classroom.

Based at our Oxford campus, the role offers substantial duties beyond teaching, including professional development delivery and Higher Rights assessment design. Successful candidates will enter a probationary period, then PGCert HE; opportunities to pursue

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards.
• Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE.

Responsibilities

• Teach on courses and act as academic coach to students; signpost pastoral support.
• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning support; communicate with academics for improvement.
• Identify needs for module content, structure and assessment; propose improvements.
• Contribute to inclusive learning design and maintain quality standards and regulations.
• Communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences, including peers.
