Job summary

Artis Recruitment is seeking an experienced Compliance Team Leader with law firm compliance experience based in the UK. You will own and elevate a high-performing function, protecting the firm, clients and reputation while guiding senior stakeholders.

You'll lead a team of 12+ FTEs, embed regulatory requirements into everyday operations, advise partners and lawyers, monitor developments in AML, KYC, sanctions and risk, and shape the function from frontline leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing the compliance team.
• Overseeing day-to-day compliance activity, policies and controls.
• Advising lawyers and the wider business on regulatory and risk matters.
• Monitoring regulatory developments and translating them into practical action.
• Supporting AML, KYC, sanctions, conflicts and other relevant compliance processes.
• Managing compliance reviews, investigations and escalations.
• Identifying emerging risks and recommending effective solutions.
• Working closely with senior leadership, risk, legal and operational teams.
