Job summary

Holmes Care Group is seeking a Laundry Assistant at Roselea House to launder residents’ clothing and linen to high standards, while maintaining a safe, tidy laundry area. You will liaise with residents and staff to ensure timely collection and return of items.

The role involves following washing instructions, cleaning duties, and building positive relationships with residents and colleagues as part of a supportive care team in Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Ensure items are appropriately separated and laundered according to washing/drying instructions
• Launder all linen, including bedding, table cloths, towels and soft furnishings as required
• Ensure personal items are collected and returned within a reasonable timescale to their owner
• Maintain the laundry area in a tidy and safe condition and notify the Housekeeper of any safety hazards or defective equipment
• Perform general cleaning duties as required
• Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and visitors by becoming an important part of the team

What does the day of a Laundry Assistant look like?
