Job summary

Runwood Homes Limited is seeking a Laundry Assistant to support the care home laundry operations. You will ensure residents’ laundry is cleaned and prepared for redistribution, using washing machines, dryers and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.

You should be organised, proactive, and a reliable team player, willing to participate in ongoing training. The role includes following health and safety standards to protect residents and staff.

Job description

As a Laundry Assistant, you will be a member of the support services team. Your main Laundry Assistant responsibilities will be to ensure the laundry of residents and general care home is completed in a professional and timely manner. This includes using washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently as well as neatly folding, hanging, or preparing clean laundry for redistribution. Your daily tasks as a Laundry Assistant include keeping the laundry area clean, tidy and organised as well as following health and safety standards to avoid contamination and accidents.
