Job summary

DJ Doors & Electrical Services Ltd in Bicester, Oxfordshire, is offering a full-time Trainee Automatic Door Engineer position. You’ll learn to install, maintain and repair automatic door systems, working alongside qualified engineers with hands-on experience from day one.

No prior experience is required. We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, practical, reliable and happy to work with their hands. We provide the training, the van and the power tools, with a clear route to progression.

Qualifications

• Keen to learn and build a career in automatic door engineering.
• Good practical skills with hand and power tools.
• Reliable, punctual and a good team player.
• Polite and professional with customers on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing automatic door systems (sliding, swing, revolving).
• Support planned maintenance and servicing visits.
• Learn to diagnose and fix common faults.
• Follow health and safety rules and use power tools safely.
• Keep the van, tools and equipment clean, tidy and stocked.
• Complete job sheets and service paperwork accurately.
• Treat customers and staff politely and professionally on site.
• Attend training sessions and work towards agreed qualifications.
