Job summary

Next Phase Recruitment seeks an experienced formulation development leader to head the Late-Stage Formulation team, guiding the development and optimisation of veterinary pharmaceutical products and scalable processes ready for commercial manufacture.

The role requires applying QbD, overseeing scale-up, technology transfer, stability studies and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory to support product commercialisation and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in formulation development, manufacturing, scale-up and analytical processes across various dosage forms.
• Experience in human or veterinary pharmaceuticals with GMP, FDA/EMA/VICH/ICH regulatory awareness.
• Proven experience leading and developing scientific teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead late-stage formulation development in line with VICH/ICH guidelines.
• Oversee process scale-up, technology transfer, product characterisation and stability studies.
• Apply QbD principles to optimise processes and manage technical risks.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory teams to support product commercialisation.
• Support regulatory submissions, technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure GMP compliance, laboratory safety and effective training and development of team members.
