Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Leighton Buzzard is seeking a Warehouse and Distribution Operative to manage stock flow and order fulfillment on the late shift. You will handle packing, receiving, and administration in a controlled environment.

The role requires warehouse experience, basic IT skills, and attention to detail, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and health and safety initiatives within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Warehouse and Distribution role is essential.
• Basic computer skills.
• Stock checks and cycle counting experience.
• Accuracy and an eye for detail.
• Great team player with a can-do attitude.
• Previous use of MRP Computer systems.
• Forklift experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of the use of MRP computer systems.
• Physical inventory accounting & reporting through Cycle Counting.
• Management of excess stock physically and on MRP system in line with accounts procedures. Maintain MRP system stock accuracy.
• Issue of parts and material to a works & Sales order(s) using the appropriate procedure.
• Visual Inspection, Counting and checking of incoming materials and components.
• General administration and filing.
• Supporting the Business in the implementation of Continuous Improvement and Health and safety initiatives.
• Receive cartons and pallets into the dispatch area from several other areas of the business. Check and record paperwork and information received with cartons.
• Cross reference information received against database to determine method of shipment.
