Job summary

Go Traffic Management Limited is seeking a Traffic Management Operative for the late shift in Rainham. You will manage traffic control schemes, ensuring safety and compliance on site, and work across day and night shifts with potential weekend duties.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£12.71–£16.00) with overtime at 1.25x after 17:00. Key tasks include overseeing traffic management setups, carrying out risk assessments, vehicle checks, and maintaining site discipline.

Qualifications

• Lantra 12d accreditation as minimum TTMBC (12d M1-M2) required.
• Lantra 12a/b accreditation; IPV driver; foreman advantageous.
• Understanding of Chapter 8 and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works (Red Book).
• Must have a Full UK driving licence.
• Able to read CAD drawings related to works.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all traffic management methods: Give/Take, Stop/Go boards, portable signals, convoy working, road closures, lane closures and diversions.
• Ensure work follows safe methods and best practice procedures.
• Carry out risk assessments and method statements for traffic works.
• Ensure activities align with procedures; identify improvements and report to line manager.
• Perform daily vehicle checks for cleanliness and safety of driver and passengers.
• Promote a positive company image via appearance and site cleanliness.
• Demonstrate initiative to identify improvements.
• Assist the public and guide them safely through site lines.
• Ascertain when management intervention is required.
