Job summary

Interaction Engineering is seeking a skilled Laser Welder/Finisher to join a busy production and fabrication team in the UK. The role involves operating handheld laser welding equipment to produce precise welds, welding thin-gauge sheet metal, and preparing components for welding.

You will inspect welds and follow strict health and safety procedures. Ideal candidates will have TIG welding or sheet metal fabrication experience, with advantage for those familiar with handheld laser welding

Qualifications

• Experience in TIG welding or sheet metal fabrication.
• Experience using handheld laser welding equipment is a major advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate handheld laser welding equipment to produce precise welds.
• Weld thin-gauge sheet metal and components.
• Set and adjust laser parameters for different materials and specs.
• Prepare, align and secure components for welding.
• Inspect finished welds for quality; minimal finishing expected.
• Follow health and safety procedures when operating laser welding equipment.

We are looking for a skilled Laser Welder / Finisher to join a busy production and fabrication team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with welding or sheet metal fabrication experience who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision finishes.

The Role

• Operating handheld laser welding equipment to produce precise, high-quality welds.
• Welding thin-gauge sheet metal and components.
• Setting and adjusting laser parameters to suit different materials and specifications.
• Preparing, aligning and securing components ready for welding.
• Inspecting finished welds to ensure excellent quality and minimal finishing is required.
• Following strict health and safety procedures when operating laser welding equipment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in TIG welding or sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable.
• Experience using handheld laser welding equipment would be a major advantage.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• A reliable, hands-on approach with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
