Job summary

Interaction Engineering is seeking a skilled Laser Welder/Finisher to join a busy production and fabrication team. You will operate handheld laser welding equipment to produce precise welds on thin-gauge sheet metal, ensuring high quality and minimal finishing.

The role requires experience in TIG welding or sheet metal fabrication, the ability to read technical drawings, and a hands-on approach with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in TIG welding or sheet metal fabrication is desirable.
• Experience using handheld laser welding equipment would be a major advantage.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate handheld laser welding equipment to produce precise welds.
• Weld thin-gauge sheet metal and components.
• Set and adjust laser parameters for different materials/specifications.
• Prepare, align and secure components for welding.
• Inspect finished welds for quality with minimal finishing.

We are looking for a skilled Laser Welder / Finisher to join a busy production and fabrication team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with welding or sheet metal fabrication experience who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision finishes.

The Role

• Operating handheld laser welding equipment to produce precise, high-quality welds.
• Welding thin-gauge sheet metal and components.
• Setting and adjusting laser parameters to suit different materials and specifications.
• Preparing, aligning and securing components ready for welding.
• Inspecting finished welds to ensure excellent quality and minimal finishing is required.
• Following strict health and safety procedures when operating laser welding equipment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in TIG welding or sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable.
• Experience using handheld laser welding equipment would be a major advantage.
