Below is the job description for this permanent position:

The role involves laser cutting of metal sheets and plates. Responsibilities include loading programs created by CAD/CAM programmers into the machine, verifying material and data accuracy according to job sheets and drawings, transporting materials to the machine with a forklift, and loading them onto the cutting table using a vacuum lifter or automation. You will need to check the first piece for approval, monitor parts at intervals, and once finished, remove parts, stack them on pallets or trolleys, and transport to the next operation. Ensuring the machine is in good working order and conducting basic maintenance is essential, along with adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.

KPA and Tasks:

• Prepare machine: Ensure machine bed is clear and flat, check health & safety procedures, locate materials, remove materials from racking, load onto machine using vacuum lifter/automation.
• Load program and run production: Identify software, locate on server, load program into machine.
• Remove materials: Remove components and scrap, discard scrap in the skip following H&S guidelines.
• Quality Control: Check first-off, monitor during production, adjust as needed, verify parts during unloading, and ensure parts are ready for the next operation.
