Job summary

Trinity Industrial in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Laser Cutting Supervisor to lead the day shift in the laser cutting department. This hands-on role combines team leadership with setting up and operating industrial laser cutting equipment.

Responsibilities include supervising the team, meeting production targets, reading drawings, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings to interpret tolerances and specs.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the laser cutting department and support the production team.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are achieved.
• Set up and operate laser cutting machines when required.
• Carry out quality inspections and resolve production issues.
• Allocate workloads, train team members and promote a safe working environment.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain housekeeping standards.
