Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Landscape Specialist to join the Environment and Sustainability team in Gloucestershire. The role focuses on landscape design, nature-based solutions, and climate resilience, with initial duties on a major highways project.

You will oversee landscape delivery, conduct inspections, and collaborate with clients, stakeholders and the Nature and Biodiversity Lead to expand services across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science or landscape or equivalent experience.
• Member of an environmental or landscape professional body such as ISEP, LI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of landscape design, specifications and delivery including LA107 and LD117.
• Experience overseeing landscape delivery on large construction projects and stakeholder engagement.
• Full driving licence and CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing landscape design delivery to ensure adherence to specification, drawings, and the LEMP.
• Conducting pre and post planting inspections, establishment reviews, and assurance of soils and planting pit construction.
• Leading and inputting into client, stakeholder and technical meetings.
• Overseeing contractors onsite and providing independent assurance alongside client sign-off.
• Contributing to bids and fee proposals while promoting environmental principles.
