Job summary

BAM is seeking a Landscape Architect to lead landscape design across major infrastructure projects in the UK. The role emphasizes biodiversity outcomes, collaboration with internal teams and external partners, and contributing to environmental submissions.

The position offers a hybrid work pattern between home, site visits, and UK office locations, with a focus on delivering 10% Biodiversity Net Gain and high-quality landscape outcomes across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline required.
• Experience on UK-based projects in consultancy, contractor, or developer context desired.
• Understanding of landscape design principles and the UK planning system.

Responsibilities

• Produce landscape masterplans and detailed design packages across project stages (RIBA 0-7).
• Develop planting strategies and public realm designs; integrate green infrastructure and SuDS.
• Collaborate with internal design and external architects, engineers, ecologists and project teams.
• Prepare BNG reports and landscape/environmental assessments; contribute to management plans.
• Provide on-site support during construction and conduct landscape inspections for QA.
