Job description

Madisons Recruitment is recruiting for a Landscape Architect on a permanent basis located in the Luton area.

The annual salary for the role is £30,000 - £50,000 per annum. Below are the brief responsibilities and requirements for the role. Should you have further queries, please reply to schedule a call back with the recruiter regarding the role.

General Responsibilities

• Participate in our client’s company events and socials to help build a collaborative work environment.
• Uphold our client’s company values, as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Collaborate with external design team members and address coordination issues.
• Liaise with clients and attend meetings as required.
• Attend regular CPD sessions and events, including design crits and knowledge sharing sessions in the office.
• Work closely with designers, foremen, site and maintenance operatives, and the admin team to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and programme project deliverables through each Workstage to meet milestones and deadlines, with support from your line manager.
• Manage the design process and produce relevant materials for design presentations, with support from your line manager.
• Produce construction detail drawings and assist with tender packages.
• Generate specifications, presentations, and other documents as part of the design process.
• Manage health and safety obligations for all projects.
• Manage drawing protocols on relevant file sharing sites for each project.

Requirements (Skills & Experience)

• A degree in landscape architecture, or experience as a garden designer with a diploma in garden design.
• Strong design skills and effective site analysis capabilities.
• Good knowledge of planting and planting styles.
• Experience with 2D AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
• Organised, analytical, and able to manage time efficiently.
• Understanding of planning legislation and its relevance to projects.
• Basic understanding of landscape construction, including monitoring construction work and site reporting.
