Job summary

Ground Control in Uxbridge is seeking a motivated Landscape Apprentice to join our team on a major infrastructure project. You’ll learn practical landscaping skills on the job, gain a recognised Level 2 qualification and earn a salary while you study.

No prior landscaping experience is required, and you’ll be mentored by experienced operatives throughout your apprenticeship. You'll develop planting, maintenance and safe-working practices, with structured training time and progression toward

Qualifications

• No landscaping experience required; you’ll learn on the job.
• Interest in outdoors and the environment.
• Willingness to complete apprenticeship training.
• Eligible to work in the UK and enrol on a funded apprenticeship.
• CSCS Apprentice Card is required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to plant trees, shrubs and whips and help create new green spaces.
• Assist with preparing planting areas and installing stakes, guards and materials.
• Help maintain newly planted landscapes with watering, weeding and mulching.
• Learn to use landscaping tools safely, including strimmers, brush cutters and mowers.
• Follow plans and read landscape drawings to ensure accuracy and standards.
• Participate in apprenticeship training and complete practical assessments.
• Contribute to safety compliance and teamwork on site.
