The Landfill Operator role involves the safe operation of solid waste handling with a focus on customer service. The successful candidate will regularly communicate with customers and set a good example for trainees, emphasizing attention to detail. The minimum responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring landfill safety by following SOPs, permitting visitors and contractors, completing hazard assessments, and tracking hazards and incidents in the Intelex safety system.
  2. Proper operation of equipment.
  3. Managing scale operations and data entry.
  4. Collecting samples.
  5. Maintaining landfill and facilities.
  6. Performing general cleaning duties.
  7. Conducting ongoing equipment maintenance.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license and successful pre-employment testing.
  • Approximately 2 years of oilfield experience is preferred but not required.
  • Valid safety certifications including H2S Alive and First Aid.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work long hours in demanding conditions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements.
