Landfill Gas Engineer (Full Training Provided)

Location: Bristol / South UK

The company is a leading waste management organisation that manages over 10 sites across the UK. They specialise in energy production from landfill gas, producing over 150 GWh of electricity each year and are committed to providing renewable solutions to waste management.

This is a varied position where you will be working on gas collection systems - from balancing to fault finding, as well as mechanical maintenance duties where you will be working on the power engines and associated equipment. Maintenance and service is both reactive and pre-planned, where you will receive training on all aspects of landfill.

The Role:

1. Monitoring gas collection systems on landfill sites, including balancing of analysers and downloading data.
2. Maintenance, fault diagnosis and breakdown of gas collection systems.
3. Power asset maintenance, including engines and generator sets.
4. Plant equipment maintenance (mechanical and electrical).
5. 24 Hour emergency call out - 1 in 6 weeks.
6. Occasional travel to Southeast and South Wales.

The Person:

1. Working in a hands-on role, including light maintenance engineers, plant operatives, outdoors workers etc.
2. Experienced with working outdoors - and willing to work in all weather conditions.
3. Looking to expand their skillset through technical training.
4. Motivated to start a career in the renewable energy sector.
5. IT literate with the ability to use a laptop.
