Job summary

Transport for London is seeking a Land Surveyor (Engineer Band 2) to support legacy assets and new systems across London. You will gather geospatial data, produce 2D/3D drawings, and deliver surveys for highways, rail, and major projects using Total Stations, GNSS and 3D laser scanning.

The role requires strong technical surveying skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in safety-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Outstanding technical surveying skills with a high attention to detail.
• Good analytical skills with a proactive approach to solving problems.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Sound working knowledge of land & engineering survey techniques and their practical application.
• Awareness of relevant survey industry standards (TfL, Network Rail, RICS, TSA).
• HND, Degree, TSA Diploma or Level 3 Apprenticeship in Land Surveying or Geospatial Surveying.

Responsibilities

• Provide survey data, drawings, models and geospatial information for projects across TfL client groups.
• Capture geospatial data using specialist surveying technology and produce 2D/3D drawings.
• Support a range of projects including highways, tunnels, rolling stock and major developments.
