Job summary

Murphy Geospatial – A Woolpert Company in London seeks an experienced Geospatial/Engineering Surveyor to join the Digital Engineering team. The role covers infrastructure and built-environment projects using traditional surveying and 3D laser scanning, with opportunities for growth.

You will carry out surveys, support setting-out activities, and collaborate with Geospatial Engineering, CAD, BIM and Digital Engineering teams while ensuring safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Total Stations and GNSS/RTK surveying equipment.
• Experience undertaking terrestrial laser scanning surveys.
• Good understanding of survey control, traversing, coordinate systems, datums and survey accuracy.
• Strong field QA/QC to identify missing or potentially inaccurate data before leaving site.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out topographical, engineering, control and as-built surveys.
• Using Total Stations, GNSS/RTK equipment and 3D laser scanning technology.
• Supporting engineering surveying and setting-out activities.
• Establish, maintain and verify survey control networks, datums and coordinate systems.
• Understand point cloud registration and processing workflows for site data quality.
