Job summary

STRABAG SE in Manchester seeks a Geospatial Surveyor to join the Routeways Team on the HARP Project. The role focuses on installing and maintaining survey control networks, carrying out topographic, 2D and 3D surveys, and supporting mobile mapping and as-built tasks.

You will use GNSS, robotic total stations, LiDAR, and TBC/LSS workflows to produce accurate drawings and 3D models. A relevant qualification and highway experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • L3 Geospatial or degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related geospatial field.
  • Experience in a surveying role for highways projects.
  • Member of CICES or RICS desirable; CSCS card and UK driving licence required.

Our Survey team provides the essential geospatial expertise needed to deliver works accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with contract requirements. We are looking for a Geospatial Surveyor to join the Routeways Team on the HARP Project.

What matters to us
  • L3 Geospatial Qualification, Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related geospatial field.
  • Experience in a similar surveying role.
  • Member of CICES or RICS is highly desirable.
  • Valid CSCS card (Manager level preferred) and a full UK Driving Licence.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Highways works.
  • Experience in TBC software or similar software package to process data and analyse the results.
  • Advanced user of AutoCAD, Excel, and 3D processing software.
  • Knowledge of modern geospatial hardware (Robotic Total Stations, GNSS, Laser Scanners, UAV9s) and their associated processing workflows.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving licence is essential.

The main purpose of the role includes installing and maintaining a control network along the Construction Traffic Routes, assisting with Mobile Mapping Surveys, undertaking as-built surveys and setting out of utilities. You will also be expected to carry out site surveying tasks with the wider Project teams as workload allows.
