About the Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.

We are seeking to recruit a Land Surveyor in the Chipping Warden Area.

The successful candidate will support the Senior Land Surveyor in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network, reporting on and validating different construction stages. Responsibilities include undertaking land, topographic, hydrographic, measured building surveys, utilizing specialist equipment such as robotics and 3D scanners. Analyzing data with plans, maps, charts, and software like AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and GIS is essential. You will also prepare survey drawings, present data to clients, and write reports.

You will coordinate with Site Engineers regarding project priorities, plan changes, deviations, and non-conformance rectifications. The role involves setting out and conducting as-built surveys, topographical and engineering surveys (including Laser Scanner), managing Point Cloud Data, GNSS network surveying, precise traversing, levelling, and drone surveys for earthwork measurements.

About You

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• HND/degree in Land Survey, Geomatics, or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar role with comparable values.
• Experience preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Expertise in Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D drawings.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with solid report writing abilities.
• Proficient in survey software such as Trimble Business Center.
• Must hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle.
