Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Land Rover Hereford. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (43.5 hours per week).

We offer industry-leading basic salaries & bonuses, reflective of each applicant's experience and skillset.

Basic salaries start from: £30,000 - £45,000

Bonus / OTE range: £39,000 - £51,000.

Role And Responsibilities

1. Service, repair, and diagnose all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring work is done to the highest standard first time.
2. Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing.
3. Repair and maintain EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs, and control systems.
4. Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
5. Understand customer satisfaction and its impact on the business.
6. Operate additional systems such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW), with proper training.
7. Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
8. Collaborate with workshop team members to learn and share knowledge.

About You

1. Experience in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
2. Experience working in independent garages, fast-fit centres, car supermarkets, or main dealerships.
3. Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or working towards it.
4. Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualifications are advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
5. MOT license is beneficial but not essential.
6. Full UK driving license.
7. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with a commitment to high standards of work.
