Job summary

Land Referencing Services LLP in Telford seeks a detail-oriented data processing assistant to join a busy, supportive team. You will ensure data quality and timely delivery while conducting site inspections and interviews with the public, either face-to-face or by phone.

The role requires organisation, reliability and willingness to travel for short periods. You should have 6+ months in data conversion/regeneration, familiarity with GIS and Microsoft Office, and knowledge in land law or related

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience on data conversion or regeneration projects.
• Understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge in land law, surveying, conveyancing, planning, or related fields.
• Well-organised, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work without supervision.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Check data quality and ensure timely delivery.
• Follow project plans and report progress to line manager.
• Verify work and inform line manager of status.
• Conduct site inspections and interviews with the public.

About the Position

This is a busy but friendly environment that will suit an organised person with a great eye for detail, who is keen to develop their skills. The role is based in Telford, working closely with the Line Manager.

Responsibilities

• To make sure all data has been checked for quality, fit for purpose and delivered in a timely manner
• To carry out tasks in accordance with project plans as advised by the line manager
• Ensure you check your work and inform the line manager of the status of your work
• Carry out site inspections and interviews either by face to face or by phone with the general public
• Record results, site inspections and interviews accurately and clearly
• Inform line manager of all potential known issues and training needs
• To undertake any other data processing and perform any other reasonable duties that the line manager may require that are consistent with the nature of the job role
• Achieve the required pass rates in the appropriate internal

• Attend client meetings with appropriate supervision, and other events - may involve working away from home for short periods

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months practical experience on data conversion and/or regeneration projects and/or a basic understanding of geography or maps
• Have an understanding of Geographic Information Systems and Microsoft packages
• Good education and knowledge and/or experience in land law, surveying, conveyancing, planning, property or a similar discipline
• Proven work experience, be well organised, and able to work in a methodical manner with a high level of self-motivation and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to work without supervision and as part of a team in a changing environment
• A flexible approach to working hours, willing to travel and work away from home on occasions
