Cobalt Consulting (UK) Ltd is partnering with a leading UK-based property consultancy to appoint a Land Referencing Manager to join their growing national Infrastructure division. The role will lead a team of land referencing professionals on major infrastructure, energy, utilities and regeneration projects across the UK.

• An established Land Referencing Manager, or Senior Land Referencer with proven line management experience.
• Strong experience working across CPO, DCO, TWAO and/or GVD schemes.
• Good understanding of relevant legislation and GIS-supported workflows.
• Strong technical knowledge of land referencing and statutory documentation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead land referencing activities across CPO, DCO, TWAO and GVD schemes
• Undertake ownership identification, title analysis and reconciliation of land interests
• Prepare and review Books of Reference, land plans, schedules and statutory documentation
• Ensure accuracy and consistency across GIS datasets, plans and written schedules
• Lead quality assurance processes, peer reviews and audit readiness
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to junior Land Referencers
• Work closely with surveyors, land agents, legal teams and clients to resolve complex land issues
• Support the development and improvement of digital land referencing systems and processes

This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most significant infrastructure, energy, utilities and regeneration projects, whilst taking responsibility for leading and developing a growing team of land referencing professionals.

With a strong project pipeline and continued investment in its infrastructure offering, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Land Referencing Manager or Senior Land Referencer looking to take the next step in their career.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK, aligned to one of the consultancy's regional offices, with flexible and hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities:
