Job summary

MBDA Bristol is seeking a Systems Engineer within the Functional development team to support the Land Ceptor portfolio. You will work on capturing customer needs, deriving requirements, and ensuring a consistent product suite across contracts for the British and Polish Armies.

You will contribute to change control, trade studies, and complex system development with exposure to defence environments while collaborating with customers and multiple engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience with requirements management and derivation, preferably in defence.
• Familiarity with system engineering tools such as DOORS/DOORS NG or Rhapsody.
• Ability to translate customer needs into system/subsystem and software requirements.
• Engineering change control and management experience.
• Capability to initiate and drive trade studies and system development activities.
• Experience building complex defence-related systems is desirable.
• Strong ability to communicate architectures and ideas at all levels.
• Good stakeholder management skills; familiarity with product lines is a plus.

Salary

Salary: Up to 57,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
