Job summary

High Speed Two Ltd is seeking a Land Assembly / Land Referencing Assistant to join its Land & Property Division in Birmingham. This role offers exposure across land referencing, acquisition, GIS, and property management within a major UK infrastructure programme.

You will work with experienced professionals to ensure ownership information, notices and documentation are accurate and well managed, with progression toward the Land Assembly career path.

Qualifications

• We are open to graduates who have an interest & have experience from their university courses in land and property (land referencing for example).
• We are also open to candidates who already have practical experience in land referencing, land assembly, land acquisition, property or a similar environment, even if you do not have a degree.
• Most importantly, you will have good attention to detail and be comfortable working with information and data.

Responsibilities

• Support land referencing activities and validate ownership and property information.
• Review and update land, property and spatial information using GIS and mapping systems.
• Undertake desktop research, including Land Registry checks.
• Prepare, check and maintain land notices, registers and supporting documentation.
• Support Final Land Acquisition Boundary activities and track actions through to completion.
• Monitor progress against supplier and project deliverables and highlight delays or issues.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure information is complete, traceable and up to date.
• Work with legal teams, surveyors, consultants and other HS2 stakeholders to resolve queries.
• Support the wider Land Assembly team with land acquisition, access and property related activities.
