Summary: £62,000 - £90,000 per annum | 35 days’ holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Company Car

This role offers the opportunity to oversee the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent, involving full asset lifecycle management from site identification, negotiation, and land acquisition, to planning, construction support, and ongoing asset management.

You will develop relationships with key third parties such as landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers. The role involves ownership of the full development and planning process, requiring strong communication and negotiation skills, multi-tasking, and meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals for new stores.
  2. Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage due diligence.
  3. Manage the planning application lifecycle from submission to discharge of conditions.
  4. Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
  6. Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion.
  7. Manage real estate assets of freehold and leasehold properties.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
  2. Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant discipline.
  3. Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
  4. MRICS qualification is preferred.
  5. Strong negotiation, legal, and commercial property skills.
  6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  7. Analytical mindset with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  9. Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
