Job Title: Laminator : Machine Operator
Location: Skipton
Salary: Dependant on skills and Experience
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Weekly rotating shift pattern:
- 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday.
- 2pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday.
- 2pm to 6pm on a Friday.
- During training, hours will be 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

What Are You Going To Do

• Operate laminating machines to laminate solid board sheets to quality standards.
• Mix and maintain glue systems, ensuring cleanliness.
• Load reels, monitor changeovers, and perform reel adjustments.
• Ensure high-quality laminating results, including accuracy, size, and flatness.
• Clean machinery regularly and at the end of each shift.
• Adjust machine speeds to maintain efficiency and meet delivery targets.
• Handle reels carefully to prevent damage.
• Align reels according to instructions and perform quality inspections.
• Coordinate with team leaders to optimize output and reel changeovers.
• Provide feedback for machine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance, adhering to safety standards.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

• Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Physically fit, capable of working on your feet and handling materials safely.
• KPI-focused with at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience in laminating solid paperboard or related manufacturing roles.
• Experience in the packaging industry.
• Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of BRC and HACCP standards.

The role may include other duties as required, with training provided as needed.
