Job summary

Ball Corporation in Devizes is seeking a Lacquer Operator to support the lacquer team in preparing and issuing coatings materials to the line and to provide technical support for efficient production. The role involves operating and maintaining coating equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with environmental regulations.

You will assist with washing and coating units, monitor process performance, and troubleshoot on the line.

Qualifications

Previous experience in manufacturing (mandatory).
Previous experience in basic mechanical and maintenance operations (mandatory).
Previous experience with SAP (preferred).
Forklift licence (preferred).

Responsibilities

Observe company health, safety and environmental regulations at all times.
Assist the operators to set, run and clean the washing and spraying units, the external coatings units and the ovens.
Monitor performance of washing and coating processes at all times to ensure quality and efficiency of coatings usage.
Troubleshoot problems on line and recommend preventative measures.
Carry out operator maintenance of the lacquer machines and to maintain spare parts and change parts in good order.
Prepare and issue coatings materials to line, including bookings on SAP.
Remove all waste to the correct bins and maintain a clean and tidy workplace.
Carry out any other duties as requested by Management.
