Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a motivated Technical Operations Manager to lead Recruitment, On-Boarding and Staff Development within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. You will help develop agile technical support structures for research laboratories and work closely with the Head of Technical Operations to ensure resilient facilities.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree at Level 6 or equivalent, with significant post-qualification work experience.
• Extensive leadership and line management experience of technical/experimental staff in Higher Education.
• Experience managing complex technical laboratory facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop sustainable research infrastructure and agile facilities to meet the Faculty's needs.
• Monitor and align School/Faculty strategy, policies and procedures across the Faculty.
