Correct Contract Services Ltd in Andover is seeking a Retrofit & Renewables Labourer to provide general labouring and practical support to CCS operatives delivering retrofit, insulation and renewable installations. The role will assist with site preparation, movement of materials, and maintaining clean, safe working areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide general labouring support to retrofit, insulation and renewable installation teams.
• Assist with preparation of properties and work areas prior to installation.
• Support loft-based works and loft insulation preparation.
• Load, unload, move and store materials, tools and equipment safely.
• Assist installers with solar PV, air source heat pumps, insulation and other works as trained.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe, dispose of waste.
• Protect residents' homes and belongings during works.
• Follow site rules, RAMS and site safety requirements.
• Use PPE and equipment correctly; report hazards immediately.
• Attend inductions, toolbox talks and required training.
• Take part in training to build knowledge across retrofit activities.
• Work within training limits and do not undertake untrained activities.

About The Role

Retrofit & Renewables Labourer

Role Purpose

To provide general labouring and practical support to CCS operatives and subcontractors delivering retrofit, insulation and renewable installations. The role will support the safe and efficient completion of works, including site preparation, movement of materials, assisting installers and maintaining clean and safe working areas.

The role provides an opportunity to gain experience across a range of retrofit and renewable technologies, with training and development opportunities available to enable the postholder to develop their skills and progress into more skilled installation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general labouring support to retrofit, insulation and renewable installation teams.
• Assist with the preparation of properties and work areas prior to installation.
• Support loft-based works, including preparation for and assistance with loft insulation and associated retrofit measures.
• Load, unload, move and safely store materials, tools and equipment.
• Assist installers with solar PV, air source heat pump, insulation and other renewable or retrofit works, within the limits of training and competence.
• Support with basic preparation, removal and making-good activities as instructed.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe and remove waste and packaging appropriately.
• Protect residents' homes, belongings and existing finishes while works are being undertaken.
• Follow all site rules, risk assessments, RAMS and Construction Phase Plan requirements.
• Use PPE, access equipment, tools and equipment correctly and only where trained and authorised.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, defects, accidents, near misses or changes to site conditions.
• Follow CCS asbestos procedures and stop work immediately where suspected asbestos-containing materials or other unexpected hazards are identified.
• Work professionally and respectfully within occupied homes, minimising disruption to residents.
• Report any resident safeguarding or vulnerability concerns in accordance with CCS procedures.
• Assist with site records, photographs and quality checks where required.
• Attend site inductions, toolbox talks and required training.
• Actively participate in training and development opportunities to build knowledge and competence across retrofit, insulation and renewable installation activities.
• Work only within the limits of individual training and competence and do not undertake regulated or specialist activities unless appropriately trained, qualified and authorised.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the effective delivery of CCS projects.

Essential

• Full UK driving licence.

• CSCS card or relevant construction training.
• Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling and Working at Height training.
• Experience supporting loft insulation, solar PV or air source heat pump installations.
