Job summary

VANRATH is recruiting a Labourer (Housing Maintenance) to support skilled trades on social housing maintenance projects in Derry/Londonderry. The role involves basic repairs, manual tasks, and transporting materials to site locations.

Responsibilities include assisting plumbers, electricians and joiners, following safety guidelines, and maintaining tidy, safe work sites. A CSR card and customer service mindset are desirable assets.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in Construction.
• CSR Card.
• High level customer service skills.

• Assist tradespeople such as plumbers, electricians, and joiners with their tasks
• Carry out basic repairs and maintenance work as directed
• Transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
• Prepare and clean up job sites before and after work
• Handle waste disposal and recycling of materials
• Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Operate basic construction equipment and tools
• Perform general labour tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving heavy objects
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors

£27,000 DOE + van / fuel card / package

General Overview
