Job summary

Regional Recruitment is seeking a Roofing Labourer for an immediate start in Littlehampton. This permanent, full-time role supports roofers across projects, handling materials and ensuring safe, efficient site operations. Travel to Midlands sites may be required.

Training, development, and supportive management are offered. Ideal candidates have roofing/construction experience, are comfortable at height, and are physically fit.

Qualifications

• Experience as Labourer in roofing or construction.
• Comfortable working at height.

Responsibilities

• Assist roofers with stripping roofs and moving materials.
• Load and unload tools, tiles, felt and other roofing materials.
• Maintain safe, tidy and organised work areas.
• Work safely and prevent injuries on site.
• Coordinate with Roofing Supervisor on daily activities and schedules.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers when required.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and follow schedules.
• Travel to sites across the Midlands if required.
• Support apprentices or junior labourers when needed.

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Roofing Labourer to join a professional and growing roofing contractor. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role suited to someone reliable, physically fit, and confident working at height. You will support roofers across various projects, assisting with material handling, stripping roofs, preparing work areas, and ensuring safe, efficient site operations.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Experience working as a Labourer within roofing or construction
• Comfortable working at height

Desirable:

• Experience with slate, tile, or flat roofing systems
• Manual Handling training
• Working at Height training

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist roofers with daily tasks including stripping roofs, carrying materials, and preparing work areas
• Load and unload tools, tiles, felt, and other roofing materials
• Maintain safe, tidy, and organised work areas
• Work safely, taking all necessary precautions to prevent danger and avoid injury
• Liaise with the Roofing Supervisor regarding daily activities and work schedules
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers when required
• Maintain excellent timekeeping, as detailed in work schedules issued in advance
• Proactively identify and prevent potential issues on site through good preparation and organisation
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the company
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel to sites across the Midlands
• Support apprentices or junior labourers when requiredUndertake any other ad‑hoc duties as directed by the company

Requirements

As a Roofing Labourer, you will also be expected to:

• Complete basic paperwork accurately and on time
• Follow all instructions from the Roofing Supervisor and wider team
• Ensure all site information is passed on correctly in line with company standards
