Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Roofing Labourer to join a professional roofing contractor. Based in Surrey, this hands-on role supports roofers across projects, assisting with material handling, stripping roofs and preparing work areas.

Suitable candidates will be reliable, physically fit, and comfortable working at height. Training and development opportunities, plus a supportive team, are on offer for the right person.

Qualifications

• Experience as Labourer in roofing or construction.
• Able to work at height.
• Physically fit and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assist roofers with daily tasks including stripping roofs, carrying materials, and preparing work areas.
• Load and unload tools, tiles, felt, and other roofing materials.
• Maintain safe, tidy, and organised work areas.
• Work safely, taking all necessary precautions to prevent danger and injury.
• Liaise with the Roofing Supervisor regarding daily activities and work schedules.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers when required.
• Maintain excellent timekeeping, as detailed in work schedules issued in advance.
• Proactively identify and prevent potential issues on site through good preparation.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the company.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel to sites across the Midlands.
• Support apprentices or junior labourers when required.
• Undertake any other ad‑hoc duties as directed by the company.

You will support roofers across various projects, assisting with material handling, stripping roofs, preparing work areas, and ensuring safe, efficient site operations.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Experience working as a Labourer within roofing or construction
• Comfortable working at height

Desirable:

• Experience with slate, tile, or flat roofing systems
• Manual Handling training
• Working at Height training

Requirements

• As a Roofing Labourer, you will also be expected to:
• Complete basic paperwork accurately and on time
• Follow all instructions from the Roofing Supervisor and wider team
• Ensure all site information is passed on correctly in line with company standards
