Job summary

Sure Building and Construction Ltd (SBC) is seeking a Labourer / Banksman to join a busy construction site in Southampton on a self-employed CIS basis. The role is full-time for 6 to 9 months, with the contractor responsible for their own tax affairs.

You will perform general labouring, assist trades, move materials, and direct vehicles as Banksman while upholding site safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Banksman certificate.
• Enhanced DBS check (essential for site in a school).
• Own PPE and right to work in the UK.
• Ability to register for CIS as self-employed.

Responsibilities

• General labouring duties around the building site.
• Assisting trades and site management.
• Moving and handling materials.
• Keeping the site clean, tidy and safe.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Directing vehicles and assisting with site movements as Banksman.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Other general duties as required by the Site Manager.

We are looking for an experienced Labourer / Banksman to join a busy construction site on a self-employed basis. This is a full-time contract role for 6 to 9 months. You will be engaged as a self-employed contractor, paid under CIS and responsible for your own tax affairs.
