Job summary

Regional Recruitment is seeking a Banksman for site-based work in Rugby. You will direct vehicle and plant movement, maintain safe access routes, and communicate with drivers and operators to ensure safe operations on busy construction sites.

Essential qualifications include a Banksman/Traffic Marshal certification and a CSCS Card, with desirable CPCS/NPORS qualifications and First Aid certification to support broader site safety coverage.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the movement of vehicles, plant, and machinery on site.
• Maintain safe access and egress routes for all personnel and vehicles.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, plant operators, and site management.
• Ensure all lifting, reversing, and manoeuvring operations are carried out safely.
• Monitor site activity and proactively identify potential hazards.
• Support site teams with general labouring duties when required.
• Maintain excellent timekeeping and follow daily schedules.
• Uphold professional conduct and comply with company uniform standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work across multiple sites in Rugby and surrounding areas.
• Assist in emergency situations and follow all site safety procedures.

You will be responsible for directing vehicle and plant movement, ensuring safe operations, and maintaining excellent communication across busy construction environments.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Valid Banksman/Traffic Marshal certification

Requirements

• As a Banksman, you will also be expected to:
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
• Ensure all documentation is submitted to Head Office no later than the following Monday
• Communicate site data to the Operations Assistant in the correct format
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism at all times
