Job summary

Build Recruitment - South West is seeking a Skilled Labourer for a project in St Mawes, Cornwall. You will move materials, help with fencing and signage, and support trades while keeping a tidy, safe site.

The role involves assisting with general duties, maintaining health and safety, and taking instructions from management. Overtime and weekend work may be available during certain stages of the 1-year project.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required.
• Professional at all times.
• Good work ethic.
• PPE awareness and use.
• Previous experience not essential but beneficial.
• Driving licence beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Move materials efficiently.
• Erect and maintain Heras fencing.
• Put up clear site signs.
• Keep site tidy with litter picking and sweeping.
• Assist trades on site.
• Support site safety and report hazards.

Skilled labourer - St Mawes, Cornwall

Construction - Commercial, New build

A great opportunity to start a skilled labourer role in the South Cornwall region. You will be working for a busy principle contractor that has been awarded contracts across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. You will have the chance to see the job through to completion. And the project is estimated to last around one year.
There will most likely be an opportunity for overtime and weekend work at certain stages.

Day to day

• Moving materials
• Putting up and maintaining heras fencing
• Putting up signs
• Tidying, litter picking and sweeping
• Assisting trades
• Site safety, helping to maintain a safe working environment
• Taking instructions from management
• Reporting and or rectifying hazards

Requirements

• Must have a CSCS card
• Professional at all times
• Good work ethic
• PPE
• Previous experience is not essential but will be beneficial
• Driving licence is not essential but will be beneficial due to job location
• Good timekeeping
