Job summary

The Recruitment Junction is recruiting a Labourer for a local construction project in Newcastle. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £15.35 per hour, based on a minimum 40-hour week.

Work will be on site inside the newly constructed building, supporting trades during the fit-out. The ideal candidate holds a valid CSCS card, is physically fit for manual labour, and can work outdoors in all weather.

Introduction

Our client is a local construction company who are working on a key project in the city centre and are looking for a reliable labourer to join their growing team.

Objectives

As a an important member of the team, labourers are working inside the newly constructed building, supporting various trades during the fit-out.

Key Responsibilities

As a labourer, your duties include:

• Keeping the site clean and tidy (e.g. sweeping)
• Fetching and carrying materials
• Assisting with basic installation tasks (e.g. helping fit brackets)

Requirements - What We're Looking For

The ideal you will have:

• Valid CSCS card
• Safety boots and suitable workwear (no tracksuits or hoodies)
• High-visibility clothing and additional PPE will be provided
• Good level of physical fitness (role involves manual labour)
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am 5:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Friday: 7:30am 2:00pm
