Job description

The Mick George Group is currently recruiting Labourers to join our team at Mepal - Witcham Meadlands, Block Fen, Cambridgeshire, CB6 2AY.

Position Details

• Pay: £12.50 per hour plus a weekly £50 bonus
• Hours: Monday - Friday, plus Saturdays as required

Job Purpose

Assist with general day-to-day duties around the quarry at the request of the site manager, including activities such as picking waste/metal from aggregates, cleaning, and unblocking machines.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with general housekeeping activities around the site (picking waste/metal, cleaning, etc.)
2. Identify non-conforming wastes (e.g., asbestos) on the picking line to ensure proper treatment of soils delivered to the site
3. Operate site equipment safely (e.g., jet wash)
4. Perform any other duties related to the quarry as requested by a supervisor/manager
