We are currently recruiting a Plant Operator/Labourer to join our team.

Location: Mepal - Witcham Meadlands, Block Fen, Cambridgeshire, CB6 2AY

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, between 6am – 6pm, with occasional Saturday work.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and ground profiling to the required level.
• Perform daily/weekly maintenance checks and tasks on mobile and fixed plant, including greasing and cleaning.
• Report defects using the R2C app.
• Control the quality of products and follow plant GPS to alter ground levels.
• Carry out other duties as required in the day-to-day running of the quarry/landfill, as directed by supervisors or managers.
• Log all production data, plant stoppages, and breakdowns accurately.
• Report any unsuitable materials for production to quarry management.
• Understand and act swiftly on company procedures related to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Highlight any training needs to line management, especially for legislative requirements.

Skills & Competencies

Essential: Relevant plant operator licenses, excellent communication skills, methodical and flexible approach, proactive team member, proficiency with mobile phone apps.
