Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, has a great opportunity for an experienced Labourer to join our multi-skilled trades team delivering high quality repairs, maintenance and refurbishment across Matlock, Chesterfield and the surrounding area. You will be a team player who is hard working, keen to learn and customer focused, with a full driving licence and a DBS check.

The role is mobile and visits customers' homes.

Qualifications

• Experience in Social Housing maintenance.
• Ability to deliver property repairs to a high standard.
• Multi-trades skills including basic external trades beneficial (roofing, slabbing, pointing, fencing).
• Solid labouring experience in the building industry.
• Experience of working in customers' homes.
• Able to work in a team but also independently.
• Full current driving licence is essential for a mobile role.
• DBS check required for in-home work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality repairs, maintenance and refurbishment in customers' homes across Matlock, Chesterfield and surrounding areas.
• Work as part of a multi-skilled trades team to complete tasks right first time.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure satisfaction.
• Organise workload and use initiative when needed.

We want somebody who can:

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills.You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.You will have a passion for detail and the ability to work on your own initiative.

We want somebody who has:

• Experience in Social Housing maintenance
• Understanding and experienceof providing property maintenance and repairs to an excellent standard
• Multi Trades skills - a basic knowledge of external trades including roofing, slabbing, pointing and fencing would be advantageous
• Sound labouring experience in the building industry
• Experience of working in Customer's homes
• Team skills but can work independently at times too
• Full current validdriving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• Plus, as you will be working in customers' homes a DBS check is needed
