Job summary

Axis CLC is recruiting a reliable Labourer/Driver to support kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes across Yorkshire. You will deliver materials, assist with loading, and perform general labouring duties on live site projects.

Role requires a Full UK Driving Licence, safety awareness on construction sites, and flexibility to travel across Yorkshire. CSCS is desirable. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials, fixtures, fittings, and tools to live refurbishment projects across Yorkshire.
• Assist with loading/unloading and movement of materials.
• Carry out general labouring duties and site preparation for kitchens and bathrooms.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised areas in occupied properties.
• Collect and dispose of construction waste per procedures and regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and keep vehicles in a roadworthy condition.
• Assist with stock management and site storage organisation.
• Provide customer-focused service to residents and clients.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking Labourer / Driver to support our kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes across Yorkshire.

What You'll Do

• Deliver materials, fixtures, fittings, and tools to live kitchen and bathroom refurbishment projects across Yorkshire.
• Assist site teams with the loading, unloading, and movement of materials, ensuring safe handling at all times..
• Carry out general labouring duties including site preparation, stripping out existing kitchens and bathrooms, and waste removal.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas within occupied and void residential properties.
• Collect and dispose of construction waste in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and ensures company vehicles are maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition.
• Assist with stock management, material counts, and the organisation of site storage areas.
• Work within social housing properties, always providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional attitude towards residents and clients.
• Follow all Health & Safety policies, reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly.
• Support project teams to ensure programmes are achieved and works are completed on time.
• Travel regularly across Yorkshire and occasionally to neighbouring regions as business requirements dictate.

About You

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous experience in a labouring, driver, or construction support role.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements on construction sites.
• Ability to undertake manual handling and physically demanding duties.
• Reliable, flexible, and willing to work at multiple locations across Yorkshire.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Desirable

• CSCS Card.
• Experience working within kitchen, bathroom, social housing, or refurbishment projects is desirable.
• Experience driving vans and managing deliveries to multiple sites.
• Knowledge of social housing refurbishment environments.
• Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, or First Aid certification.
