Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a hard-working general labourer for a short-term contract on a busy new build housing development in Hull. You will work alongside the Site Manager and trades, help move materials around active plots, keep sites tidy and safe, and support unloading and managing deliveries.

A valid CSCS card and full PPE are essential, and you must be based in Hull or easily commutable. This is an immediate start with local work.

Qualifications

• CSCS card is essential.
• Experience working as a labourer on a construction site is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with moving and distributing materials across active plots.
• Sweeping plots, clearing waste, and loading skips.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment in line with health and safety procedures.
• Assisting site management with unloading and managing incoming deliveries.
• Carrying out general manual labour and physical duties as directed across the development.

The Role:

We are currently recruiting a hard-working general labourer for a short-term contract on a busy new build housing development in Hull.

This position offers an immediate start for a dependable operative looking for local work. Working alongside the Site Manager and trade sub-contractors, you will play a crucial role in maintaining site standards, supporting trades, and keeping active plots safe and tidy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with moving and distributing materials across active plots.
• Sweeping out plots, clearing construction waste, and loading skips.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment in line with health and safety procedures.
• Assisting site management with unloading and managing incoming deliveries.
• Carrying out general manual labour and physical duties as directed across the development.

Main Requirements:

• Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
• Previous experience working as a labourer on a construction site (New build housing experience is preferred).
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
• Strong work ethic, excellent punctuality, and a proactive attitude.
• Solid awareness of site health and safety procedures around live plots and site machinery.
• Based in or easily commutable to Hull / East Riding area.
