Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property is recruiting a hard-working General Labourer for a short-term contract on a busy residential new build site in Beverley. Immediate start for a dependable operative, working with the Site Manager and trades to keep plots safe and moving.

You will assist with material movement, site cleaning, deliveries, and general labour across the housing development, with a strong emphasis on health and safety. Based in Beverley or nearby, eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card is essential.
• Experience as a labourer on a construction site is preferred.
• Full PPE (hard hat, high-visibility clothing, steel-toe boots) is required.
• Based in Beverley or within easy commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Assist sub-contractors and trades with moving materials around active plots.
• Sweep plots, clear waste, and load skips.
• Keep sites clean, safe, and well-organised in line with health and safety procedures.
• Help unload and manage incoming deliveries.
• Carry out general manual labour across the housing development.

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting a hard-working General Labourer for a short-term contract on a busy residential new build site in Beverley.

This position offers an immediate start for a dependable operative looking for local work. Working alongside the Site Manager and trade sub-contractors, you will play a key role in keeping site logistics moving, supporting trades, and ensuring active plots remain safe and clean.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with moving and distributing building materials across active plots.
• Sweeping out plots, clearing construction waste, and loading skips.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment in line with health and safety procedures.
• Assisting site management with unloading and managing incoming deliveries.
• Carrying out general manual labour and physical duties as required across the housing development.

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
• Previous experience working as a labourer on a construction site (New build housing experience is preferred).
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
• Strong work ethic, excellent punctuality, and a proactive attitude.
• Solid awareness of site health and safety procedures around live plots and site plant.
• Based in or easily commutable to Beverley (Hull / East Riding area).
