Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited is seeking a Labourer for a fixed-term contract at Coniston Wastewater Treatment Works. The role involves day-to-day general labouring in the yard, including cleaning and tidying, organising materials to and from stores, and assisting skilled personnel.

The successful candidate will hold a CSCS card, possess a Full UK Driving Licence, and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• CSCS card holder.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to utilise independent judgment in the performance of duties.
• The ability to follow concise and clear instructions accurately.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general yard duties including sweeping, tidying, waste management, and ensuring overall site cleanliness.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely from delivery vehicles.
• Support engineering and fabrication teams with the handling and preparation of components.
• Perform routine equipment checks and promptly report any faults or maintenance needs.
• Assist with the responsible disposal and recycling of scrap materials and general waste.
• Adhere to and promote all health, safety, and environmental procedures and regulations.

What Are We Looking For?

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Labourer to join on a Fixed Term Contract at Coniston Wastewater Treatment Works. Your role will be to carry out day-to-day general labouring tasks within the yard.
